Meet Dr. Katie Stewart
Dr. Katie Stewart is a licensed psychologist, Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, yoga and meditation teacher, and speaker based in Pittsburgh, PA. After working in various mental health and academic settings for a decade, she founded Stewart Psychological Services in 2017 to more authentically connect with patients in a warm, welcoming, private environment.
Prior to opening her own practice, Dr. Stewart was on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at Allegheny Health Network, where she provided individual psychotherapy and assessment services, as well as supervision and training of Psychology Interns, Postdoctoral Fellows in Psychology, and Psychiatry Residents and was the primary coordinator of a clinic for Psychiatry Residents. While there, she was honored to be the Teacher of the Year in 2016. Dr. Stewart previously served as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Carlow University. Dr. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from New York University, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University, and a Doctor of Psychology in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University.
Her love of learning and commitment to helping others lead a more expansive, fulfilling, and joyful life have led to additional education and certifications in other complementary modalities. She is a Yoga Alliance RYT®-500 yoga teacher, certified iRest® Yoga Nidra meditation teacher, Reiki Master, certified Breathe to Heal Facilitator, and completed the Professional Coach Certification program through Duquesne University.
Her passion for mental health and wellness combined with her training in performance and comfort in the spotlight make her an entertaining, engaging, and knowledgeable media guest and speaker.
